Faculty of Engineering, Christ University would like to extend its invitation towards you to be a part of the Faculty of Engineering, Christ University Model United Nations Conference 2017.Ever since its inception in 2009, Faculty of Engineering, Christ University has gone on to reach great heights. With 1500 students spread across 7 engineering disciplines and with excellent facilities, the Kengeri campus is a cornucopia of talent.

The Faculty of Engineering MUN Society was formed in December 2015 and within a space of a year we have gone on to establish ourselves as a reputed delegation in the Bangalore circuit. The first chapter of the Christ University Faculty of Engineering Model United Nations will be held from 24^th February to 26^th February 2017 at our very own Christ University, Kengeri Campus Bangalore, India.The objective of the Model United Nations is to seek, through discussion, negotiation and debate, solutions to the various problems of the world. In the process, the participating students learn to adopt views and attitudes other than their own and break away from narrow national self-interest and develop international cooperation.

The research and preparation involved in the Model United Nations, the negotiations and debate, give the young people an insight into the world's problems and enable them to understand the causes of conflict between nations. The Model United Nations contributes in fulfilling the aims and goals set by the founders of the United Nations in the Preamble to the Charter of the United Nations -- namely to practice tolerance and live together in peace with one another as good neighbors. The Model United Nations also offers students an excellent opportunity to expand, develop and put into practice their lobbying and debate skills.
